Introducing the World’s First Non-Explosion-Proof FM Approved UV Flame Detector “SKH047MF”
Nittan Company, Limited is pleased to announce the global availability of the SKH047MF, an ultra-compact Standard UV Flame Detector certified with FM Approval (FM 3260:2021), alongside its companion maintenance device, the UV3 Portable Ultraviolet Tester.
In high-risk manufacturing environments—such as EV lithium-ion battery production lines, semiconductor cleanrooms, electrical cabinets, and paper warehouses—rapid flame detection is essential to prevent catastrophic loss. However, conventional FM-approved flame detectors have predominantly been heavy, bulky, and expensive explosion-proof models designed primarily for outdoor oil and gas facilities.
The SKH047MF overcomes these limitations by offering world-class FM Approval performance in a non-explosion-proof, ultra-compact body (Φ72.8 mm x 34.5 mm, weighing just 75 g).

To support safe routine inspections in areas where open flames are strictly prohibited, Nittan also introduces the UV3 Portable Ultraviolet Tester. Emitting a 253.7 nm UV-C beam, the battery-powered UV3 allows maintenance personnel to safely trigger and verify SKH047MF sensors from a distance of up to 5 to 7 meters without hot work permits.
